Don’t You Remember
Paul said this to the church in Thessalonika when they were asking him questions, apparently more than once.
“Don’t you remember that when I was with you I went over all these things?“ 2 Thessalonians 2:5 TPT
It’s human nature to not remember something very long. There can be a lot of factors. Maybe we just chose not to hear it. Maybe we don’t fully understand or are distracted. Maybe what we expected and what see just don’t connect.
Jesus is our Peace/Piece
God never desired for anyone to live outside of covenant relationship with Him. He had a plan for redemption. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus we are brought into unity with Him. We belong in covenant with God!
Overcome by the Blood
The last book of the Bible, Revelation or The Revelation of Jesus Christ, does exactly what the title implies, it reveals Jesus. No matter what else you believe this book is about, it undeniably shows us many facets of Jesus, the Lamb of God.
Deciding to Receive It All
During the three plus years that we have been actively and consistently teaching about communion, one concept that has been interwoven into many lessons is that we are to “drink all of it”.
The Veil
When we hear the word veil, we typically think of the beautiful covering a bride might wear over her face as she walks down the aisle. When I walked down the aisle, my veil was borrowed. It was a bit too large and not anything I would have chosen for myself. It felt more awkward than pretty.
A bridal veil is meant to only obscure the bride’s face; many other veils are made to completely hide what is on the other side.
The Extreme Makeover
My wife, Sandy, loves to design interiors. She will take a room or a whole home and make it look fabulous, useful, inviting and filled with love. At our home we don’t watch television often. When we do it is usually a “reality” show where a home or property is being made over. Some of the makeovers are amazing and others leave you wondering “Where did they get that idea?!”.
Settleless in Seattle
God calls us a masterpiece. In fact, we are made in His image. When we face sickness, depression or even addiction, we don’t always feel like His masterpiece. This blog is about the time I was facing an intense illness.
