Move God’s Heart

Psalms‬ ‭40‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭TPT‬‬

“It’s not sacrifices that really move your heart. Burnt offerings, sin offerings—those aren’t what bring you joy. But when you open my ears and speak to me, I become your willing servant, your prisoner of love for life.

So I said, “Here I am! I’m coming to you as a sacrifice, for in the prophetic scrolls of your book you have written about me.”

One day in worship, a line in a song said “We want what moves Your heart”. I felt the Lord say to me “What moves my heart is you!” What a simple truth!

James 4:8 NKJV reads “Draw near to God and he will draw near to you”.

The depth of our relationship with Him is dependent on us. If you will move toward Him He will draw near to you!

His desire is to be near us. But He will not force Himself on us.

James 4‬:‭8‬ ‭TPT‬‬

“Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you.…”

As you receive communion today, make it a moment where your only agenda is to draw near to Him! Invite Holy Spirit to enter where you are, give Him the room. Sense and know His strong and glorious presence! Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you!
