Day 2

30 Day Challenge - Day 2

Proclaim

I am always thanking my God for you because he has given you such free and open access to his grace through your union with Jesus, the Messiah.”

1 Corinthians 1:4

Grace is being given favor we don’t deserve. It is also being given the power and ability to live out God’s perfect plan for our lives. Open access to grace is ours because of our union, or common union with Jesus.

Verse 26 of the same chapter tells us to consider who we were when God called us to salvation. Most of us were not considered wise, powerful or elite when we said “yes” to God’s offer of salvation.

Each of us were a unique kind of hurt and mess before before we came to Jesus.

1 Corinthians 1:18 TPT “ To preach the message of the cross seems like sheer nonsense to those who are on their way to destruction, but to us who are being saved, it is the mighty power of God released within us.”

To preach the message of the cross is the mighty power of God released within us. It is the power of grace.

To “preach the message” is also “the act of proclaiming”.

1 Corinthians‬ 11:26 NKJ

When we take communion we are preaching or proclaiming the message of the mighty power of God released in us. It is retelling the story of the greatest act of love and grace there has ever been.
